I wish I had done this project sooner. The cats came out so cool! Each one has it's own personality. I just love it. The 4th grade class followed me on the board do a simple pencil drawing of the cat shape. Then using a black sharpie they had to go over the line but break up the strokes to give the appearance of fur. Then add more fur detail all over. Last the color was achieved with water color paint. The inspiration for this is by Andy Warhol's cat painting.
