This is one of a two part lesson on Matisse in 6th grade. The first part is still in progress. I'll post that next week. Here we have the other part, a large banner piece in the style of Matisse's drawing with scissors. I had many samples of his work on the projection screen for inspiration. Then the students used just scissors without any drawing. This is the kind of project that any age can enjoy.
