This is a painting by the great master Joan Miro.
The first grade viewed some of his work then played a little game I have called "roll a Miro".
Basically what you do is roll a die and what number you get tells you what Miro style shape you draw until it's all put together into one crazy scene. We used black markers for that part. Then some of the shapes made were filled in with primary colors. Last we placed wet pieced of color tissue paper on top of the drawing. When you lift the tissue off it leaves behind an interesting pattern of color.
Looks like a Miro to me!
