About three weeks ago the 3rd grade class and I watched an episode of "How it's Made" showing us how cuckoo clocks are made. The factory was the famous Black Forest clocks in Germany, all made by hand. After that we got to work on our own clocks. The background shape was made from painted paper and textured paper that the students had woven. From there they cut it into a house shape and added the necessary details needed for a cuckoo clock. As an extra we also worked on roman numerals. Why not?
