Ok I had my doubts about this project when I started. I though it might be too much for the 1st graders. They completely proved me wrong. Piece of cake. First they each got a piece of chipboard. Next they followed my direction on the board on how to draw a lions head. After that they added color with oil pastel. Last but not least they knotted yarn through hole around the head for the mane. I love the way these came out.
