Anastasia won first place for the Tufts library mural contest!
In June the drawing she did will be painted on to the wall behind Tuft's library in Weston Park. What's also great is that this is the same park our school has Field Day.
We had 30 submissions for the contest. I'm proud of all the hard (and quick) work everyone did to be part of this community contest. You show that you care about the image of the town and the places for kids to go and play outside. Sacred Heart School has the best art students!
All the students that sent a submission are invited to help with painting the mural. You will be contacted by email from the Weymouth Art Association in June.
As for the bad news....
we did not win any of the categories in the Made by Milk contest.
I think the 7th grade class did an outstanding job and should be proud. There will be another milk carton contest in the Fall so we'll have to check it out.
