Here is a little STEAM project I did with the 5th grade class.
First we looked at medical drawings of hands and how the ligaments work in the fingers.
Then using cardboard, straws, string, rubber bands and glue we made our own version of a working human hand. After some frustrating times trying to tie string to rubber bands and getting hot glue on our fingers the finished product was worth it.
