I have five tables in the art room. So each table got a collection of found objects placed in the middle for the group to view. They were forbidden to touch or pick up the objects. The instructions were to use all the objects to make directions to construct an interesting structure. It could look like something familiar or be abstract, but all the pieces had to be used. Also it had to really be able to be made with a hot glue gun by a 7th grader. The ones above are the winners of each table that were voted by a different table.
Next the 7th graders will have to make them using the directions from the 4th grade. I'll post the final products when they are done.
