The 4th grade class one day started to show me they they knew some sign language. I knew some too so we had some fun with that. Then I thought it would be fun to incorporate sign language into an art lesson. Hands are one of the toughest things to draw. So I found this piece by Keith Haring and used it for inspiration for a contour hand lesson. To add a little extra we also incorporated a Pangram.
Each student got a letter (hand) to illustrate in the style of Haring.
