The K2 class got to work on patterns in the very first art class. Each student has a folder that will be were all their artwork will go. It had their name in block outline letters. After talking about patterns they were instructed to pick two colors to color their name in a pattern.

The following day we took it further. First they drew a squiggly line that does not overlap.
Next they drew a pattern of three shapes, circle, square, triangle on the line.
Last they picked three colors to go with each shape. This takes lots of patients, even for an adult. The K2 class handled it great and had a good time.
