Finished Line Variety

I got to hang up some of the finished paintings by 1st grade. I had no doubt that they would do a great job with this project.

Water Bottle Flowers

Here is a sample of some flowers made last year that I finally got on a board to add to the wall of our hallway. The students cut off the bottom of an empty water bottle and cut petals into the plastic. We use acrylic paint on the underside of the flower.

Jumping Right Into It!

Here I have both the 4th grade class and the 7th grade class jumping into a large collaborative painting project. 7th is working on circle paintings and 4th is working on an outer space mural. No waisting time in my class!

Line Variety

I knew the 1st grade class would have no trouble jumping into a project. They used oil pastel and followed along with me to draw different types of lines. Then using watercolors the students found shapes made and filled with the paint.

Parish Picnic

Megan, Susanne and Emily are here showing off the centerpieces they made for the Parish Picnic. Nice job girls. You can enjoy the centerpieces close up on this Sunday after 11:30 Mass at Weston Park. Food, music, games and lots of fun.

Back to School!!!

It's been a great summer vacation and now it's time to get back to the classroom. I'm really looking forward to seeing all the students. I've missed all of them and all the great work they do.

A few things that I did this summer .....

I went to the zoo.

I went to the Revere Beach Sand Sculpture contest.

Canobie Lake Park

And took part in the painting of the cool mural along with other Sacred Heart School parents, students and even grandparents. A big thanks goes out to everyone who came out to help with this huge project. Everyone worked hard and had fun. I am so proud to be part of the Sacred Heart Community.

J&J

Jack and Jackson in 4th grade started a little drawing team. I love when the students take the initiative and start a project on their own. So I asked them to make some drawings for the Tuft's Library Children's room entrance. The theme for the summer reading is "Fizz Boom Read". The boys did all the drawings of the Beaker and Bunsen Honeydew and all the lab equipment. The art will be up all summer, stop by check it out and grab a book too.

Mr. Stampy Cat

Jack in 1st grade brought this drawing in to class to show me and asked if we do a lesson drawing the same cat. Fist off, nice drawing Jack! Second, I love it when the students get inspired to come up with art lessons. I think we have a Mr. Stampy lesson to come in September Jack! Thanks.
